Description

Based in the Stuttgart area of Germany, our client is quickly establishing itself as a major player in developing innovative systems for emerging automotive technologies.

In order to ensure they are remain one of the most innovative organisations in the industry they now seek to recruit a Functional Safety Engineer responsible for leading functional safety activity according to ISO 26262 for electrical embedded systems.

You will be responsible for the development of technical work products specific to functional safety, e.g. hazard and risk assessment, item definition, functional safety concept, technical safety concept, FTAs, FMEDAs, criticality analyses, other safety analyses, and test coverage analysis of safety requirements.

To be successful in your application for this role you must be educated to degree level in Electrical Engineering and be able to demonstrate automotive electrical system experience (Hardware or Software development)

You will have a strong understanding of safety critical systems development, knowledge of engineering safety standards, especially ISO 26262 and knowledge of FMEA and FTA methodologies

You will be able to work independently and in a collaborative environment and have the ability to react to project adjustments and alterations promptly and efficiently along with the ability effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment

Written and oral German skills is essential.
